ELeague tables take shape [10/Feb/09]

The results for Round 3 of the ELeague are out although it's as you were at the top of senior recurve division 1 as the top five teams in the table finished in the same order for the "month". Edinburgh's 2303 was enough to stay ahead of Warwick's 2289. Nottingham, Surrey and Cambridge were third fourth and fifth with Imperial also breaking 2200. Liverpool finished second in division 2 and are the top A team in that division - the club can all but secure promotion after the February round if results go their way. Swansea and Liverpool B lead divisions 3 and 4. Surrey B lead the Conference, but face a three pronged SEAL assault from Kent, London and Essex.

In novice division 1 Edinburgh lead the way with a very comfortable win, featuring an astonishing 564 from Cindy Law. Nottingham stay second with Warwick going into third ahead of Keele on monthly average. Napier are fifth overall but face the unenviable task of starting the defence of their SUS Novice League title against Edinburgh in St Andrews on St Valentine's day. The contrast in resources could hardly be starker as Napier will now share home venue is 3 hours on a Friday night at, and shared with, Heriot-Watt.

In the individual recurve ELeague standings, George Harding (Nottingham) leads the way with 58, with Matt Sharpe (Surrey) well placed on 54. Phil King and Chris Wells (both Warwick) are on 43 with Felix Pretis (Edinburgh) on 41. The ladies recurve table is led by an Edinburgh quintet, specifically Jenny Jeppsson on 60, Kyshiea George-Steele on 56, Elizabeth Williams on 52, Ani Zhang on 47 and Naomi Jones on 43.

There are still several results outstanding from December and January - I can confirm I'm not holding back scores. If your club has scores that are not here, please send them to your League Organiser and the usual UKSAA address.
